Work in progress

Projects, studies and ongoing activities represent both our present and a glimpse of the foreseeable future. After all, a company which tries to enhance efficiency through transparency and aims at developing partnerships can only start from what it is doing at the moment, especially in order to gather ideas, suggestions and proposals.

Our work in progress falls into three broad areas. First, the projects we currently have under construction, which entail progress monitoring, the development of works and an expanding store of knowledge. Second, the competitions and tenders we take part in, which may require partners and proposals. Finally, the studies we undertake to find new areas of activity and identify those sectors we can bring our expertise and capabilities to, as well as to develop services and solutions that best respond to the present and future needs of a market where innovation is a necessity. A constantly updated overview of all three areas is presented in this section, for two reasons. One is to show the breadth, quality and continuity of our work, above and beyond what has already been done; the other, more important and inherent to our approach, is to establish an ongoing dialogue with professionals, in order to gather and compare ideas and projects.

STUDIES

The broadening of the European Union; the surge in wealth of the Gulf and South American states; the challenges and opportunities from East Asia, India and China; the strategic impact of environmental issues; the latest innovations in technology, as well as new regulations, industrial strategies and assets: these are the principal drivers of change in the world of grand engineering projects. SPM Consulting keeps them all under close scrutiny – to identify opportunities, update service offerings, activate partnerships and collaborations. Of no less strategic importance is our cultural research, which ranges from analysing scenarios to tunnelling through the fundamental areas of building, transportation and housing.

COMPETITIONS

In full respect of our partners’ privacy and needs, we provide information on current tenders, on the outcomes and organisational measures of past competitions, on the general requisites we can efficiently respond to, and on the areas in which SPM consulting can bring added value. Our aim is to take stock of the situation, identifying the criteria on which requisites are based and the different opportunities available, in order to open up new paths of development.

BUILDING SITES

SPM consulting’s activities entail taking charge of documental and information work on the advancement of works. This gives the opportunity to share data that show how works progress and procurements develop, making them accessible to the public. Thus, updated information on a project’s development becomes an ongoing way to communicate with all the bodies involved in it, from territory to the market.
